Dillon Optics has introduced Non-Image Reflecting (NIR) lenses to the optical marketplace. NIR technology utilizes a polarized diffuse reflector that reduces internal reflections within the lens, allowing for noticeably sharper clarity. The lenses also feature oleophobic coating and AR, and block 100 percent of UV light. NIR lenses are available in CR39 plastic in plano in true gray with a 14 percent transmission, in Italian-made frames supplied by Dillon Optics. HIGH-DEF SUNLENSES Ophthonix, Inc., the maker of iZon High Resolution Eyeglass Lenses, has launched iZon Gray Sunlenses. The lenses feature a unique three-layer lens manufacturing process in which the dyes are incorporated into the iZonik polymer to form the middle layer, resulting in a more consistent, stable color. iZon sunlenses, made with 1.60 material, are UV blocking and scratch resistant with anti-reflective and super hydrophobic properties. Maui Jim's latest lens color, High Transmission (HT) in a "mellow amber," is now available in the company's latest styles. HT lenses provide greater visibility and boost color, contrast, and depth of field with 25 percent visible light transmission and 75 percent absorption. The lenses are made of proprietary PolarizedPlus2 technology with Maui Evolution lens material in an 8-base frame design. The HT lenses also meet all traffic signal recognition requirements.
